Highworth Success at the John Downton Awards!

The preview for this year’s John Downton Arts Awards was held on Thursday 10th November at Maidstone County Hall. As usual the standard and quality of the work displayed was excellent and we are extremely pleased to announce that a number of our students picked up prestigious awards at the event. They include Hannah Alleyne who won the Gold Award for the 16-18yr category, Ellen Collings for the Bronze Award 16-18yrs and Izzy Cole who was highly commended in the 16-18yrs category.

Highworth also won the John Downton trophy this year for the Best Schools award which was the icing on the cake for a very successful evening. Many thanks to our Yr13 Art Prefect Hiba Qazi who collected the award on our behalf and whose work along with Jess Wolsey’s was also on display.
