Careers Department

Our school is committed to providing the best possible careers advice to all of our students.  Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) makes a major contribution to preparing young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. Our CEIAG programme is called 'SIRIUS'.

The purpose of CEIAG at Highworth is to; raise awareness about the range and choice of opportunities available, leading up to and at key decision points; educate students on labour market information; and increase knowledge on skills and qualifications. The combination of which leads to students making informed decisions about subjects and pathways, meaning they are better motivated to achieve success.

The Careers Library is a central point to find information through suggested website links or through the various university, apprenticeship, gap year and career guides which are updated and maintained on a regular basis. The Careers Library is open throughout the school day to all students.

We have a duty to provide impartial, up-to-date information and expert advice within school. Miss Hodges, the Careers Lead, is based in the Careers Library and is always happy to offer any advice and guidance to all students.

If you would like to meet with Miss Hodges, then please email careers@highworth.kent.sch.uk to arrange an appointment.
