Cherry Blossoms and Green Fields Exhibition
Saturday 9 May was the official opening of our Cherry Blossoms and Green Field Exhibition at Maidstone Museum. It marked the culmination of a year-long collaborative project with Dalton School, Tokyo, comprising artistic and cultural exchange. The exhibition celebrates our Year 9 visit to Japan through a film reel ribbon of photos, depicting the experience through the lens of our young artists and shows the artwork and haiku poetry it inspired across the school. Prizes were presented by Amanda Cottrell OBE, Deputy Lieutenant of Kent, who praised our students for the quality of their work. We are grateful to Maidstone Museum for giving us an entire exhibition room until 20 June and the opportunity for our Art Ambassadors to experience curating and installing a professional exhibition.
