Autumn Concert

The hall was packed for Highworth's Autumn Concert on 10 November. The orchestra performed excerpts from Carmen  and the slow movement of Shostakovich's 2nd piano concerto (with soloist Suzie Holland). The 789 Choir sang with energy and volume and the newly-expanded Chamber Choir entertained in different styles. Other groups included the Folk Band, Clarinet Sextet, Strings, Brass Trio and the newly-formed Guitar Ensemble. The evening closed with a lively set from the Highworth Swing Band.
