Basketball Finals
This is the first year that all five Highworth teams have made it into the basketball finals. Credit must go to Mr Milne who has trained the team this year.
Year 7 took on Wye in the final and had a convincing win 30-6 points. Year 8 went up against The Marsh Academy, who have been our main rivals this year. Last year, Highworth lost to them in a nail biting final by 2 points. But this year, they hung on to the lead by one point to claim the title! The final score was 16-15.
Year 9 played The North School and had a very tough game but managed to take the lead in the final quarter to win 16-11. Year 10 put up a good fight, but unfortunately lost to The North school 34-16. Year 11 played The North School and, even though they were up at points, they couldn’t manage to hold onto the lead and the final score was 28-20.
