Congratulations to year 13 student Honor Bouverie, who has been offered a place to study on the hugely competitive Dyson Degree course. Honor will be studying at the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology on site at their Dyson headquarters in Wiltshire with a team of Dyson engineers from the start. Honor will be one of 40 students (from 1000 applicants!). The course is four years, spending the first two years studying a variety of engineering modules and then in the second two years specialising in mechanical engineering, electronics, or a combination of the two. The degree has been developed by Dyson engineers alongside academics at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), the University of Warwick. The tuition is completely covered by Dyson and Honor will also start on a salary which increases each year so she can graduate debt-free. She will have opportunities to work within a number of technical disciplines and may also have the opportunity to visit their technology and design centres in Singapore and Malaysia. Well Done Honor!
