World Inclusion Conference

In October, Mr Beer and Mrs Hills had the privilege to be invited to present at the World Inclusion Conference, hosted in Almaty, Kazakhstan.  They had been collaborating on research surrounding the use of devices and the impact of social media on our young people and were invited to present the voice of Highworth students.  In the weeks leading up to the event, Mr Beer and Mrs Hills had worked closely with Student Wellbeing Ambassadors, filming them talking about their experiences online and asking them their words of advice for policy makers.  That message was taken directly to Kazakhstan and their voice was well received.  This provided an excellent opportunity to meet professionals from a broad range of backgrounds globally and the voice of Highworth students has gone beyond this event, to the policy makers in the UK who are currently looking at legislation surrounding mobile phone use in schools and age limits for social media.
