Tenterden Folk Festival
On Sunday 8 October the Highworth Folk Band performed on the free music stage of the Tenterden Folk Festival. Despite the band being decimated by illness, the students performed brilliantly to a large, appreciative audience. Those listening seemed to particularly enjoy the moment when our programme transitioned smoothly from a folk interpretation of Britney Spears' Toxic to a piece of traditional Bulgarian folk music! Luckily the sun shone brightly and the ice cream truck was nearby for post performance refreshments. We would like to thank Alan Castle and the other organisers of the festival for inviting us to perform and we hope to be back next year!
