Music Roadshow for Year 7
On the morning of Monday 9 October, all Year seven students watched a music roadshow called 'Bach to the Future' which was performed by Kent Music teachers. Within this, Laurie, Graham and Colin explained how the different musical instruments make a sound. They gave demonstrations on their own primitive versions of their instruments, as can be seen in the picture, including a funnel and hose trombone and a 'double bass' made from a bucket, stick and a piece string. They then performed various selections of music from film, musicals and TV on their own instruments and there was even time for a karaoke version of 'I'm a Believer' at the end. We would like to say a huge thank you to our visitors for treating us to such a fantastic show!
