Action Aid Week
This year to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March, Highworth Feminist Society hosted Action Aid week. The ACS and Eco Club Food ran stalls with bracelets and snacks, had a book corner and games for students to enjoy. High Pride ran cupcake and cookie decoration, competitions, playlists, games and badges. The Asian Society had separate stalls dedicated to Nepal, India, China and Turkey. They had guess the flag challenges, Langaur Burga (Nepali game), food stalls and henna design. Fem Soc and All Abilities had a debate corner, book corner, playlists and pinata. Thank you to all of the staff and students for organising the event and all of those who came along to support. £526.29 was raised - well done to everyone!
