Highworth transformed into a hub of high-stakes logic on Monday 27 April as it hosted the finest young mathematicians from across Kent. The event marked a significant expansion of the "Maths Circle" initiative—a weekly masterclass specifically for Year 7 students designed to push high-achievers far beyond the standard curriculum.
This was no ordinary classroom session. The afternoon was a high-energy gauntlet featuring mathematical crosswords, complex strategy games, and intense, fast-paced relay races. Think you can keep up with a Year 7 Maths Circle student? Try your luck with one of the questions from the competition: “What is the smallest number that has exactly 15 factors?”
