Highworth Hike

The first ever Highworth Hike took place on Friday 19 September as part of the school’s pitch in for our pitch campaign to replace the astroturf. We hope to raise enough funds to provide a new high quality playing surface for lessons, clubs and training for the school and wider community.

All students took part in a six mile walk through Victoria Park, past Singleton Lakes, along the Stour Valley Way and around Godinton House, before returning to school via the Repton Manor estate.

Students walked in Year Groups accompanied by teachers and returned to school for an afternoon of activities, stalls and music provided by members of the school. Donations currently stand at just over £22,000. Thank you to: Mr Dodd for organising the hike; Godinton House for their support; the students and staff for their enthusiasm; everyone who has made a donation; and all of the local people along the way who offered their encouragement!
