Harry Potter Art Trip
Imagine stepping onto a real film set, surrounded by the magic of movie-making. That's exactly what our Year 8 students experienced as they embarked on a fantastic adventure into Warner Bros Studios. Our students had the unique chance to learn the secrets of costume distressing; ever wondered how clothes in movies look perfectly worn, torn, or ancient? They got to try it themselves, transforming fabric to look like it had just survived the Battle of Hogwarts or a fight with a basilisk. But the excitement didn't stop there. Students also explored the incredible studios, collecting first-hand research into the world of creature effects. This up-close look at how these creatures are brought to life provided amazing inspiration for their own concept characters and model making back in the classroom.
