John Downton Awards 2021

We have had 6 students from Highworth shortlisted for this year's John Downton Arts Award.

The John Downton Awards were first organised in 2000 at the request of Miss Hilda Downton – sister of the celebrated Kentish artist, poet and philosopher, to recognise the achievements of the young artists of Kent in the fields of painting and drawing.

We are very proud that Megan went on to pick up a Silver Award for her art work entitled 'Triptych' for the age group 11-16. This was presented at the online awards ceremony on Thursday 9 December. Congratulations!
