Make It Work Careers Event

“Year 10 took part in workshops in school on 10 and 11 July, designed to help them learn more about the world of work, and develop their skills for future employment. Day 1's activities included CV writing, learning how to succeed in an interview, and a social enterprise project; designed to help them improve teamwork and presentation skills. Day 2 was working with an employer on an industry led challenge via workshops. The workshops included: Business creation and start-ups (Education Business Partners), Charities (Kent Association for the Blind), Construction and sustainability (Calfordseaden), Digital Marketing (Bloom Creative), Healthcare (NHS), Law (Kent Law School), Microplastics (Education Business Partners) and Spoken Word and Creative (Neelam Saredia-Brayley - Poet, and Adrian Saredia-Brayley - Illustrator). Students also had a one-on-one interview with a volunteer from the world of work! A huge thank you to all the employers who were involved in the day!”
