Design & Technology Technician

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

37 hours per week (term time only plus staff development days)

Kent Range 5: £19,723 - £20,893 pa pro rata (actual £16,964 – £18,211pa)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Technician to assist in the Design and Technology and Food Preparation and Nutrition Departments. The post-holder will assume responsibility for maintaining operating efficiency while supporting excellent teaching and learning in the department.

This is an interesting and varied post, which covers a variety of mediums including electronics, woodwork, food preparation and textiles as well as 3D printing, Laser Cutting and Sublimation Printing. Some knowledge would be advantageous but a commitment to learning new skills is the most important factor.

The post would suit an organised person who is willing to turn their hand to a multitude of tasks to support the Teaching Staff of the Department.
