Science Magazine

The Highworth Science Magazine is an opportunity for students to research and write a short article on a piece of scientific news or content. This can be from Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and we ask students to try and look outside the specification for their inspiration. Students from Years 7 to 13 are welcome to contribute by submitting their articles to the Science Magazine Prefects via email. The magazines are sent out to staff and students and are available on this page. Contributing to the Science Magazine allows students to develop their scientific interests, research new ideas and challenging concepts and improve their scientific writing skills. Previous articles include: How do glow sticks glow? and Penicillin: the forgotten heroes of WW2.

The Highworth Science Magazine Prefects for 2023-24 are: Alice, Rachel, Sangam and Tamzin.
