GCSE Celebration
Year 12 students and their guests were invited to the GCSE Celebration on the afternoon of Thursday 16 October. The event was hosted by Mr House and the Head Girls, Imogen and Mia. The guest speaker, Alyson Lowe, was a student at Highworth and then went on to read English and History of Art at the University of Durham. She was Digital Editor of Conde Nast Brides magazine at age just 24. She became Director of Audience at British Vogue and later became responsible for overseeing digital content strategy and launching social media platforms. Alyson shared a range of experiences, such as founding her own business, working with international clients and speaking as a guest lecturer at a number of international universities. She gave our students an insight into fashion publishing and the skills needed to succeed in a fast paced creative industry. Special thanks also to Nina (12AB), Ysobel (12CS), Jess (12EG) and Annabelle (12KK) for their fantastic musical contributions. We hope the students and the guests enjoyed the celebration.
