Tenterden Folk Festival
On Sunday 9 October, the Folk Band were delighted to return to Tenterden Folk Festival to perform on the free music stage. Before Covid this had been a regular event in our calendar and we had looked forward to being able to take part again. Our set began with 30 minutes of music from Robin Norman and concluded with 30 minutes of traditional folk tunes from the whole band. This was the band's first public performance outside of school since 2019 and it was a joy to be out making music in the community again. It was touching that some of the audience members got in touch with the school to pass on their congratulations and wrote that 'we would definitely encourage all of the students to pursue their talents'.
