Verena Holmes Exhibition
Highworth and Ashford Museum have collaborated on a special exhibition to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on June 23, the birthday of pioneering female engineer Verena Holmes, who was born in Highworth House on 23 June 1889. An inspirational woman engineer, Verena Holmes, was a founder of the Women's Engineering Society and devoted her whole life to her love of engineering. The exhibition was launched online on 23 June and is on display at Highworth where aspirational engineers and alumni have taken part in a special assembly to inspire students.
