Music Quintet at prestigious event

Quintet Performance

Musicians from Highworth and Norton Knatchbull Schools performed in a prestigious event at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 24 September. The Otono Quintet, directed by guitar teacher David Green, were asked to play at a reception for delegates from around the world because of their success at the National Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham in July.

The group, James Allen, Harry Bellamy and Max Cox (guitarists from Highworth) and James Temple (guitar) and Gabriel Webb (cello) from Norton Knatchbull played an hour’s music while guests met in the beautiful surroundings of Dunbar Court in the Foreign Office. The students talked to Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP, schools minister, before his speech at the event.
