We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and skilled Careers Lead to take prime responsibility and accountability for the delivery of the school’s programme of careers advice and guidance (SIRIUS). You will have the confidence and authority to lead colleagues, make decisions, and enact reforms to ensure that the school meets the Gatsby Benchmarks, CDI Framework and secures the Quality in Careers Standard.
You will hold a relevant careers qualification and should have the knowledge and skills to lead a careers programme that prepares young people for further education, training, apprenticeship and recruitment opportunities in the open market, and career event management. Organising your own workload, you will establish and maintain links with support agencies; work with students face to face and in group settings; with excellent IT skills to deliver an outstanding and relevant careers advice service to years 7 - 13. You should also be first aid trained or willing to train.
