Sound and Lighting Technician
SOUND AND LIGHTING TECHNICIAN

Highworth Grammar School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and imaginative person with past theatre lighting or sound technical experience to joins us and support performances and presentations across the school.
This role includes areas such as sound, lighting and stage effects as well as rigging for school and visiting performances. Flexible working hours will be a requirement to facilitate rehearsals and events beyond the school day plus attending planned evening performances and events during the year will be required.
Supporting creativity within performing arts and develop opportunities of ‘tech’ training for students will require good communication skills and passion. Technical support for all performing arts practical exam work will be important, familiarity with video recording or studio sound recording and music production, using ‘Logic’, or similar software, would be desirable but not essential.
The role includes the responsibility for maintaining technical equipment, its security and ensure a safe working environment. Being a first aider (training provided) and working with other teams across the School, according to the School’s needs.
