Extracurricular
Sport
Badminton
This is a recreational club aiming to promote physical activity within all Year Groups. Students are independent at setting up the courts and organise their own playing time to allow all the opportunity to play.
Basketball
Basketball club is open to students who wish to participate in basketball either recreationally or competitively. The sessions focus on skills and game play.
Cricket
This is a club delivered by an external coach (John Cunningham) aimed at developing cricket both within and outside of school. Students learn important practices to develop their skills in addition to how to play softball cricket. Students are encouraged to join to experience the sport and hopefully decide to take the sport up outside of school through the club link. Committed students are offered the opportunity to play a tournament against other schools in Kent.
Golf
Golf club is with an external coach Thomas Muchmore PGA pro at Ashford Golf Club. We travel via minibus to AGC and partake in weekly session focusing on various aspects of the game.
Gym (Terms 1-3)
Wear your PE kit. Come along and have fun.
Lacrosse
The aim of this recreational club is to provide students the opportunity to try a new sport.
PE (Drop in - GCSE)
The aim of this club is to provide students with the opportunity to access additional teacher support with their GCSE PE theory. This club also offers a space for students to work quietly and to access IT to aid with their coursework.
PE (A Level)
A Level PE support is an opportunity for students to focus their studies on the A Level theory and exam preparation. It is also a space to develop their coursework and have access to literature to add to their written component.
Rounders
Rounders club is open to all Year Groups and is aimed at developing skills and game play.
Table Tennis
This club is designed specifically to develop the core skills required by the AQA GCSE PE specification. Students attend weekly to develop these skills and their game play ready for their assessment in Year 11.
Tennis (Terms 4-6)

Trampolining
Trampolining club is mainly aimed at GCSE PE students who will be using trampolining as one of their sports. The club builds technique and discipline around the AQA PE Specifiication as well as working towards difficult moves like somersaults. If you are interested in trampolining club and do not take PE GCSE please contact Miss Hooper.
Volleyball (Y12 & Y13)
Volleyball club provides students with a weekly opportunity to try indoor volleyball. It will allow them to improve their skills/athleticism, teammwork and game IQ. There will also be a sixth form team made to allow students to compete in a non-league setting.
