Year 12 Politics Trip

On 24 January 2017, the Year 12 politics students were fortunate enough to visit both the Supreme Court and Parliament. It was brilliant how we were at the Supreme Court on the day that the verdict of the Miller v. Secretary of State for Exiting Europe case was announced. As a group we listened to two court cases and got to see judges whom we had studied in action which was amazing. The tour of parliament was equally interesting as we had the chance to sit in the Public Gallery of the House of Commons and House of Lords where we listened to MPs and peers discussing the Wales Bill and HS2 proposals. Overall, the day was absolutely fascinating and something I personally will never forget.
