Senior IT Technician

37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

Kent Range 7: £26,515 – £28,850 pa

We are looking for a capable and proactive person to provide comprehensive support to the IT Network Manager in the management of the school’s IT support service.

To work effectively in this key role, you will have excellent communication and organisation skills, have a structured and pragmatic approach to problem solving, and be a competent IT user with an understanding of networking including VLAN topology, DNS, DHCP and enterprise wireless networks.  Applicants will be motivated, versatile and resourceful, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The ability to thrive in a busy, sometimes unpredictable, school environment and to work well and remain calm under pressure are essential.

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective Girls’ school of 1534 students with 446 students in the sixth form (80 boys).  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London. 

The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in June 2013.   In 2019 our A Level results placed us in top 25% of schools nationally.
