Head of Biology

We wish to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of Biology who is committed to raising the expectations and achievements of our students. This is a wonderful career opportunity to work in and lead a very strong and successful team in a popular school. 

This post would suit an ambitious, experienced teacher with middle management aspirations who would enjoy working in a supportive and successful school. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified, will have strong subject knowledge, a passion for the subject and will enjoy teaching their subject to a high level, including GCSE and A level. 

Highworth Grammar School is an over-subscribed 11 – 18, selective girls’ school of 1414 students with 405 students in the sixth form (91 boys).  We are situated in the South East of England, with excellent transport links to both the rest of Kent and London. 

The school was judged to be Outstanding in all areas in June 2013.  Last summer our A Level results placed us in top 25% of schools nationally.
