Chinese Culture Day
Highworth celebrated the Chinese New Year with food and games in the school Hall. The event comprised Chinese language learning, a chopstick skill challenge, characteristics of the rat competition, lucky New Year envelopes and a display of traditional Chinese New Year decorations. It was great to see lots of interest in the festival which starts on Saturday 25 January and lasts until Saturday 8 February. This year is the Year of the Rat. Many thanks to the students who ran stalls and raised money for the school's Peer Mentoring programme.
